For those of us who weren’t at Siggraph (sadly), the Tube trailer was shown at the Blender booth. It wasn’t completely finished, as that is what we are doing right now. Hopefully we’ll have it up and online very soon. But in the meantime, here are a few screens from the trailer. Enjoy!

we hope it will look slightly better when we release the teaser; right now we are in ‘tweak tweak tweak’ mode… I just hope we can render all the stuff we changed…

Really appealing shots, congrats to the whole team.
Are you using panoramic render (in the second screen)?

Hi Dalai! thanks!!!
yes, it’s a combination of pano and camera distortion node in the compositor. We needed the oomph that can only come from distortion! (even if it’s not exactly realistic)
Well, things are almost wrapping up here with the second pass, I can probably say now that we have done at least one change that might even surprise the siggraph audience

Those screens are looking great. It’s really nice to see the progress from storyboard, via crappimatic and animatics to the trailer.
Good luck with the rest of the project.

Great going guys! From the screenies above, I believe the Tube project will indeed turn out great. I can’t wait to feel my heart beat fast again on this. ^_^
